Gift Giving and Sensory Play for Kids

When I Find a Gift I Love – I Have to Share!

As a mom, I am always looking for unique ideas for gift giving and for my own children around the holidays.  I was tired of the same old plastic toys that are thrown away within 10 minutes of use.  A few years ago, I stumbled across a website called Young Wild and Friedman.  The business specializes in sensory play for kiddos, and they offer the cutest kits, bins, and jars you will ever see!  This post is not sponsored in any way and no product was provided.  I have been purchasing these kits for years and just wanted to share with fellow mamas!

The Story of Young Wild and Friedman:

Julie is a fellow mama and started her company back in 2016 when her daughter was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Her speech therapist suggested sensory play!  Julie went home and tried to find activities to buy that she would enjoy, but had no luck! So she created a baking-themed play dough kit for her, which she loved.  Fast forward to today, and her website features so many options for kids of all ages.

From the website: “Sensory bins are fantastic for children, as they unveil up a world of open ended play opportunities, sensory output, language development, fine motor skills and cognitive growth. Sensory play small worlds allow your children’s creativity to run wild, as they bring the ocean animals to life using their language skills and imaginations. They can dump, scoop and pour the colored beans with the fun scissor scooper, sing all of the little mermaid songs, and most importantly, learn through play!”
