15 Local Farmers Markets to visit this summer

I am a big fan of supporting local small businesses…

and that includes farmers. Many farmers markets are open for a few hours on Saturday mornings. I never thought I would enjoy visiting farmers markets as much as I do! One of the best things is that when my kids get up early on a Saturday, it is a great activity for us all. Surprisingly, they actually enjoy it. They get excited to pick out their fruit or bakery items as a treat. Plus many markets have food trucks and sometimes even live music to entertain them. Lets be honest, sometimes you just need a safe place to let them roam around while you enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.  It is fun for the kids and encourages them to eat healthy while you get some of your shopping done, win-win!

Please note that these are summer hours and most markets are not open year-round.
